Sometimes I get the urge to write, get something off my chest or just share my views and see what kind of response I get. Like everyone, I have opinions so I tend to start with things I like or dislike. I’ll start positively with something I like and save the vitriol for later.

Sola Aoi

Sola Aoi has been in the AV industry since 2001 and is one of the most popular idols in history. Photogenic, prolific, and cute don’t even begin to describe her positive qualities of which there are many. Even if she didn’t have one of the most amazing bodies of all time, she’s still be one of my favorites because of her beautiful face and bubbly personality. The works of Sola which standout for me include her early work with S1, which was particularly exciting at the time since she was on the original S1 roster when independent AV companies were just starting to boom, and her photobooks of which I have several.

Sola’s Sex Is Deliberately Shown, pictured above, should be in any Sola-lover’s collection. The opening sequence is incredibly sexy, the action is very hot and Sola’s looks are at her best.

Lately Sola has been doing more mainstream work: movies, a CD (which I’m told is sub-par), and television appearances. She’s still putting out AV one or so a month for S1 and new studio Rookie. I’m always worried that her retirement is just around the corner, but even if she did leave AV for good tomorrow, we’d still have so much of her in video and photo form to remember her by.
